he 2011 is the best vintage since my adventure in the wine world began in 1994, but I am not the only one with this conviction:

"The spring was warmer than the historical average for the period while the summer was cool and rainy and provided an ideal alternation between warm temperatures during the day and cool temperatures at night. Slow ripening accompanied by mild temperatures and good daily temperature fluctuations, which were favorable for the synthesis and accumulation of the precursors of aromatic compounds, proved to be an excellent prerequisite for obtaining wines of excellent quality. The acid composition and concentration of the product banno also recorded ideal conditions and gave the vintage prerogatives of special value, with a great balance of aromas and intense aroma."

This is the picture of the Franciacorta Consortium, which attributes the same quality to very few other vintages in the last 30 years: the 1995, The 1997 and the 2005.

When we realized the real possibility of making an extraordinary selection, any worries about the continuity of subsequent vintages were overcome by the decision to create the Bagnadore Rosé, an "off-program" Reserve. No one at this point will begrudge us if the 2020 vintage is next: any future selection will be the result of only one criterion, exceptionalism.

<p>Il Barolo Riserva Bussia 90 dì trae il suo nome dalla straordinaria tecnica di fermentazione che mantiene le bucce immerse nel mosto per un periodo che arriva fino a 90 giorni. Questo contatto prolungato consente ai nobili elementi delle bucce di trasferirsi al vino, arricchendolo di complessità e profondità.

La tecnica della <b>“steccatura a cappello sommerso”</b>, combinata con una fermentazione naturale priva di lieviti aggiunti, rende il Barolo Bussia 90 una vera e propria celebrazione del territorio da cui proviene.

Il risultato è un vino di un rosso granato intenso, solcato da sfumature aranciate. Al naso, si sprigionano profumi floreali che evolvono in sentori balsamici e speziati. Al palato, la potenza si fa sentire: caldo, con tannini presenti e un’eleganza che perdura nel tempo. È un vino destinato all’invecchiamento.<br><br>

Radix is the Bellone vinified exclusively from Casale del Giglio, a variety already known in Roman times and cultivated in Lazio between the Castelli Romani, the Lepini Mountains and the coast. The color is a straw yellow with golden reflections. The bouquet is intense with floral notes, exotic fruit and Mediterranean aromas. On the palate it is full and full-bodied, persistent and savory with a pleasant minerality.

Radix è il Bellone vinificato in purezza di Casale del Giglio, varietà già nota ai tempi dei romani e coltivata nel Lazio tra i Castelli Romani, i Monti Lepini ed il litorale. Harvest
Winter 2022 was characterized by a climate that was not too harsh and, as often happens in recent years, by little rainfall. At the end of March, about a week later than the previous year, the Chardonnay and Pinot Noir vines produced their first shoots. Afterwards, flowering was very fast, concentrated in the second half of May. This first vegetative phase characterized by the absence of precipitation and high temperatures favored, on the one hand, healthy grapes but, on the other, meant that the looser soils began to suffer from water stress already around June 20th. In the three crucial months for the vegetative growth of the vine, less than a quarter of the millimeters that have been recorded on average in the last ten years in the same period fell. The first rain occurred on the evening of Thursday 28th July, bringing with it obvious benefits which were not, however, sufficient to satisfy the "thirst" of our vineyards. In some plots, it was therefore necessary to resort to emergency irrigation systems in order to safeguard the qualitative production of the year. The harvest began on Saturday 6 August. Two rain events at the end of the harvest, one on the evening of August 15th and one a few days later, definitively marked the end of the heat and drought, postponing the end date of the harvest to Saturday 21st. Very structured wines, with a good acidic freshness , expressive of fruit on an excellent citrus base.
The harvest took place over 14 days with an average yield per hectare of 8,400 kilograms of grapes, equivalent to 3,650 liters of wine (wine yield: 43%).
Winemaking
“Corte del Lupo Bianco” is obtained from grapes coming from 13 vineyards which, due to exposure, clones and age guarantee the potential in breadth and integrity of a Ca' del Bosco style white wine. A perfect combination: the fragrance of the Chardonnay fruit and the elegance of Pinot Blanc. In compliance with the Ca' del Bosco Method, the grapes, harvested by hand in small boxes, are promptly coded and cooled in cold storage. Each bunch is selected by expert eyes and hands, to then benefit from our exclusive "bunch spa". A particular washing and hydromassage system for the bunches, using three soaking tanks and a system for complete drying. Only the best first fraction must gives rise to this wine, approximately 1/4 of which is vinified in small oak barrels used the year before for Chardonnay. The remaining portion is vinified in steel vats. The two fractions, after 8 months of aging on their own yeasts, without malolactic fermentation, are assembled; the wine is then bottled by gravity, in a natural way. Thanks to innovative "long cannula" taps, the wine rises from the bottom of the bottle without laminating, without shaking and does not undergo any oxidative shock. No addition of sulphites at this stage, to guarantee integrity and healthiness. Finally, each packaged bottle is uniquely marked to ensure traceability.

Vendemmia
L’inverno 2022 è stato caratterizzato da un clima non troppo rigido e, come spesso accade negli ultimi anni, dalla scarsa piovosità. Alla fine del mese di marzo, con circa una settimana di ritardo rispetto all’annata precedente, le viti di Chardonnay e Pinot nero hanno emesso i primi germogli. A seguire, la fioritura è stata molto veloce, concentrandosi nella seconda metà di maggio. Questa prima fase vegetativa caratterizzata da assenza di precipitazioni e temperature elevate ha favorito, da un lato, uve sane ma, dall’altro, ha fatto sì che i terreni più sciolti iniziassero a risentire di stress idrico già intorno al 20 giugno. Nei tre mesi cruciali per la crescita vegetativa della vite, sono caduti meno di un quarto dei millimetri che mediamente sono stati registrati negli ultimi dieci anni nello stesso periodo. La prima pioggia si è manifestata nella serata di giovedì 28 luglio portanto con sè evidenti benefici non sufficienti però a soddisfare la “sete” dei nostri vigneti. In alcuni appezzamenti, si è quindi dovuto ricorrere a sistemi d’irrigazione di soccorso al fine di salvaguardare la produzione qualitativa dell’annata. La vendemmia è iniziata sabato 6 agosto. Due eventi piovosi sul finale della raccolta, uno la sera di Ferragosto e uno pochi giorni più tardi, hanno segnato definitivamente la fine della calura e della siccità, posticipando la data di fine vendemmia a sabato 21. Vini molto strutturati, con una buona freschezza acida, espressivi di frutto su un’eccellente base agrumata.
Si è vendemmiato per 14 giornate con una resa media per ettari di 8.400 chilogrammi di uva, equivalenti a 3.650 litri di vino (resa in vino: 43%).
Vinificazione
Il “Corte del Lupo Bianco” si ottiene dalle uve provenienti da 13 vigneti che, per esposizione, cloni ed età garantiscono il potenziale in ampiezza e integrità di un vino bianco in stile Ca’ del Bosco. Un binomio perfetto: la fragranza del frutto dello Chardonnay e l’eleganza del Pinot Bianco. Nel rispetto del Metodo Ca’ del Bosco le uve, raccolte a mano in piccole cassette, vengono prontamente codificate e raffreddate in celle frigorifere. Ogni grappolo viene selezionato da occhi e mani esperte, per poi beneficiare della nostra esclusiva “spa del grappolo”. Un particolare sistema di lavaggio e idromassaggio dei grappoli, tramite tre vasche di ammollo e un sistema per la completa asciugatura. Solo il mosto migliore di prima frazione dà origine a questo vino, vinificato per circa 1/4 in piccole botti di rovere utilizzate l’anno prima per lo Chardonnay. La restante quota viene vinificata in tini d’acciaio. Le due frazioni, dopo 8 mesi di affinamento sui propri lieviti, senza fermentazione malolattica, si assemblano; a seguire il vino viene imbottigliato per gravità, in modo naturale. Grazie ad innovativi rubinetti “a cannula lunga” il vino risale dal fondo della bottiglia senza laminare, senza scuotimenti e non subisce alcun shock ossidativo. Nessuna aggiunta di solfiti in questa fase, a garanzia di integrità e salubrità. Infine ogni bottiglia confezionata viene marcata in modo univoco, per garantirne la tracciabilità.

Corte del Lupo Bianco Az. Ca' del Bosco

This wine is the most powerful expression of
characteristics of the vineyards of origin, located in
different areas of the Veronese side of Mount
Calvarina, in the easternmost part of
Soave denomination.
A blend of the best vintages of the last decade
(2019, 2018, 2020, 2017, 2016) selected as
maximum expression of the vineyard during its life
history. For each selected vintage, the
vinification of white grapes with maceration on the
peels for about 10 hours. Next comes
alcoholic fermentation with selected yeasts is activated
at low temperatures. A partial follows
malolactic fermentation with approximately 10% of
product. The process continues with maturation in
wood in barriques and second passage tonneaux
for about 6 months. Next the wine is placed
in steel tanks for further maturation.
TASTING NOTES
A wine with great aging potential. A stylistic effort aimed at obtaining a unique complexity and structure through the skilful combination of the different vintages. Garganega gives the wine structure, freshness and fragrance with floral notes and intense minerality, a profound expression of the composition of the soil of volcanic origin. When tasted it expresses aromas ranging from chamomile, almonds and citrus fruits to delicate notes of white pepper and tropical fruits.

caratteristiche dei vigneti di origine, dislocati in
diverse zone del versante veronese del Monte
Calvarina, nella parte più orientale della
denominazione Soave.
Un blend delle migliori annate dell’ultimo decennio
(2019, 2018, 2020, 2017, 2016) selezionate come
massima espressione del vigneto nel corso della sua
storia. Per ogni annata selezionata, avviene la
vinificazione delle uve bianche con macerazione sulle
bucce per circa 10 ore. Successivamente viene
attivata la fermentazione alcolica con lieviti selezionati
a basse temperature. Segue una parziale

La Garganega dona al vino struttura, freschezza e fragranza con note floreali e intensa mineralità, profonda espressione della composizione del terreno di origine vulcanica. All’assaggio esprime aromi che vanno dalla camomilla, mandorle e agrumi a delicate note di pepe bianco e frutti tropicali.

Pinot Grigio is particularly at home in our south-east facing vineyard in Pianizza di Sotto, near Caldaro, 440 meters above sea level. The sunny position and the Ora, the afternoon breeze that blows from the south ensuring good ventilation for the bunches, favor the ripening and good health of the grapes.

The name “Vom Kies” (from gravel) refers to the particular nature of the soil of this vineyard, deep and morainic with a high limestone content.
The soil, the position, the wind and the low yield of the vineyard give the wine elegance, minerality and fruity notes. The refinement in wooden barrels (tonneau and barrique) also gives it structure and longevity.

Il Pinot Grigio si trova particolarmente a suo agio nel nostro vigneto rivolto a sudest a Pianizza di Sotto, vicino a Caldaro, a 440 metri sul livello del mare. La posizione soleggiata e l’Ora, la brezza pomeridiana che soffia da sud assicurando una buona ventilazione ai grappoli, favoriscono la maturazione e la buona salute dell’uva.

Il nome “Vom Kies” (dalla ghiaia) si riferisce alla natura particolare del terreno di questo vigneto, profondo e morenico con un elevato contenuto di calcare.
Il terreno, la posizione, il vento e la bassa resa del vigneto donano al vino eleganza, mineralità e note fruttate. L’affinamento in botti di legno (tonneau e barrique) gli conferisce inoltre struttura e longevità.

Chardonnay, in Piedmont, is not, as many believe, a modern introduction. Its presence is attested starting from the first half of the nineteenth century thanks to the resourcefulness of Filippo Asinari, Count of San Marzano and Costigliole and an important political-military figure.<br>
<br> Upon his return from France, where he had collaborated alongside Napoleon, he brought with him some Chardonnay cuttings from the famous Montrachet vineyard to plant them in Costigliole. Their presence in the area still persists because the composition of our soil and the microclimate congenial to them have allowed them to take root.

Made solely with grapes from the five Grands Crus of the Côte des Blancs, Taittinger's Comtes de Champagne is produced only in years considered excellent. The soil from which it is born is nothing short of exceptional: a strip of just 20 km characterized by a strongly calcareous matrix, which gives minerality, a rare aromatic finesse and incredible power. A 100% Chardonnay Champagne, produced exclusively from the first pressing, to which 5% reserve wines previously aged for 4 months in new oak barrels are added, a third of which are renewed every year, to add greater toasting. Gusto ampio, affascinante e potente, avvolge con i ritorni fruttati, perfettamente bilanciati da un’anima fresco-sapida che conduce ad una persistenza semplicemente eccezionale.

Una cuvée dal carattere ampio e strutturato, che si nasconde dietro profumi freschi e leggiadri: alla potenza del Pinot Noir (50%), infatti, si unisce l’eleganza dello Chardonnay (25%) e l’aromaticità fruttata del Pinot Meunier (25%), un connubio sapientemente ricercato da Hervé Deschamps, lo chef de cave della maison, per dar vita ad uno champagne che difficilmente passerà inosservato.

Color rosa salmone brillante, con delicati riflessi ramati e percorso da minutissime bollicine che creano una candida spuma, il Blason Rosé apre all’olfatto con delicati e suadenti aromi floreali e delicatamente fruttati di petali di rosa, fragoline e lamponi, subito seguiti da intriganti sentori di lieviti, miele, frutta secca e con netta mineralità a racchiudere il tutto. Al palato colpisce per freschezza e ricchezza; è ampio, potente e con lungo finale dalla persistenza agrumata.

Very delicate straw yellow with gold-green reflections and very thin bubbles, it enchants the nose with strong aromas of elderberry and thyme, acacia honey and white rose, very light citrus fruits in the background. Fresh, vigorous sip, it stands out for its mineral profile which is revealed here with a perfect balance between freshness and flavor, with character but without being scratchy. The persistence of the lemon custard is very long. For an aperitif with a capital A, it is a jewel for the most precious moments.

Aromi eleganti e discreti di verbena, pomelo, frutta bianca e fiori bianchi. Al palato, rivela una rara untuosità, con fiori come il caprifoglio uniti a belle note agrumate. Il finale è sottile con una bella persistenza aromatica.

Fondata negli anni '80, la Casa Christophe Lefèvre rappresenta la seconda generazione di produttori di Champagne ad aver intrapreso la viticoltura biologica.

Nato da genitori agricoltori, Christophe Lefèvre ha sempre avuto una forte passione per il lavoro nei campi e nella viticoltura. Alcuni anni dopo aver riassunto in mano l'azienda di famiglia, sceglie di avventurarsi nella viticoltura, un'attività che, anche se lasciata dal padre, era stata già svolta dai nonni. Questo agricoltore della Champagne trasforma, quindi, gradualmente la sua azienda familiare e incrementa, anno dopo anno, la sua proprietà di vigneti. Convertito da sempre ai principi di un’agricoltura che rispetta il suo ambiente, utilizza fin dall'inizio le tecniche biologiche tipiche della Champagne.

GRAPES

Pinot Noir (100%), coming from the Ragnoli, Diecicipiò and Gaspa estate vineyards; all with high planting density (10,000 vines/hectare).

SURRENDER

8,000 kg of grapes per hectare, with an average must yield of 33% equivalent to 3,200 bottles per hectare.

 

WINEMAKING

Soft and progressive pressing of the bunches with fractionation of the musts for the Pinot Noir vinified as white, cold pre-maceration for approximately 24 hours and subsequent soft pressing for the Pinot Noir vinified as rosé. Alcoholic fermentation of the musts in steel vats and aging for 6 months in contact with the yeasts.
A small portion of Pinot Noir is vinified in red with fermentative maceration for approximately 7 days.

 

MATURATION

Preparation of the cuvée in the spring following the harvest, exclusively with 100% wines of the vintage. Second fermentation in the bottle and subsequent aging on the yeasts for at least 5 years, followed by another 6 months after disgorgement.

VINIFICAZIONE

Fermentazione alcolica dei mosti in tini d’acciaio e affinamento di 6 mesi a contatto con i lieviti.
Una piccola quota di Pinot Nero è vinificata in rosso con macerazione fermentativa per circa 7 giorni.

 

MATURAZIONE

Preparazione della cuvée nella primavera successiva alla vendemmia, esclusivamente con il 100% di vini dell’annata. Seconda fermentazione in bottiglia e successivo affinamento sui lieviti per almeno 5 anni, seguito da altri 6 mesi dopo la sboccatura.

COMPOSITION OF THE CUVÉE: 60% Pinot Noir, 40% Chardonnay.

PRODUCTION TECHNIQUES: Selection in the vineyard of the healthiest and ripest grapes harvested by hand in 20 kg boxes. Vinification with soft pressing and fermentation in barriques. Aging for 9 months in barriques on the yeasts with frequent batonnages, followed by 90 months in the bottle in contact with the yeasts.

PIAN DELLE VIGNE, BRUNELLO ACCORDING TO ANTINORI

The Pian delle Vigne estate in Montalcino was acquired by the Antinori family in 1995 and is located on the south-eastern side of the Montalcino hill towards Val d'Orcia. It takes its name from a 19th century railway station which is still in operation and is located within the splendid 184 hectare estate, a third of which is planted with Sangiovese Grosso vineyards. It is from these grapes that Pian delle Vigne originates, the Antinori Brunello di Montalcino, an elegant and sensual wine that matures in large oak barrels for more than two years before refining in the bottle.

Ruby color tending towards garnet. On the nose, sensations of violet, berries and plum follow one another in sequence, then black pepper, pleasant minty touches and sensations of leather and chocolate. In the mouth it expresses vigor and roundness, with excellent tannins that anticipate a very long finish.

PIAN DELLE VIGNE, IL BRUNELLO SECONDO ANTINORI

La tenuta montalcinese Pian delle Vigne è stata acquisita dalla famiglia Antinori nel 1995 e si trova nel versante sud orientale della collina di Montalcino in direzione Val d’Orcia. Beneficia del nome da una stazione ferroviaria del 1800 tuttora in funzione che si trova all’interno della splendida tenuta di 184 ettari, un terzo dei quali coltivati a vigneto di Sangiovese grosso. È da queste uve che origina Pian delle Vigne, il Brunello di Montalcino di casa Antinori, vino elegante e sensuale che matura in botti grandi di rovere per più di due anni prima di affinare in bottiglia.

Manto rubino tendente al granato. Al naso si susseguono in sequenza sensazioni di viola, frutti di bosco e prugna, poi pepe nero, piacevoli tocchi mentolati e sensazioni di cuoio e cioccolato. In bocca esprime vigoria e rotondità, con tannini di ottima caratura che anticipano un lunghissimo finale.

Only the best grapes can contribute to the exclusive assembly, in order to create a connection point between memory and vision, past and future. From the older plants, with an average age of 25 years, the best fruits are carefully selected, to then be fermented in small white oak barrels, waiting for the following 72 months, a period in which the Riserva Vittorio Moretti will refine on the yeasts. 60% Chardonnay e 40% Pinot Nero, questa grande cuvée nasce dall’ambizione di esprimere la memoria della terra di Franciacorta e il suo perpetuo sapersi rinnovare. Solo le migliori uve possono concorrere all’esclusivo assemblaggio, al fine di creare un punto di raccordo tra memoria e visione, passato e futuro. Dalle piante più vecchie, con un’età media di 25 anni, i migliori frutti vengono attentamente selezionati, per poi essere fermentati in piccoli fusti di rovere bianco, in attesa dei 72 mesi successivi, periodo nel quale la Riserva Vittorio Moretti affinerà sui lieviti. Come un’opera d’arte impone all’uomo di ammirarla in modo umile, così la creazione di questa cuvée esige di ascoltare la complessità della natura e di rispettarne i tempi: solo così nasce lo stile di un grande, immenso, Franciacorta.

Colore giallo paglierino lucente, si veste di una spuma ricca e cremosa, attraversato da un perlage di interminabile persistenza. Ampi e variegati sono i profumi che ci accolgono e spaziano dalla frutta gialla matura al miele millefiori, dagli agrumi freschi alla pasticceria secca, per poi culminare in toni più profondi, balsamici e minerali. Assaggio coerente, generoso e ricco, vede solista la freschezza che sostiene e trascina un sorso impressionante, spalancando la finestra su un futuro a dir poco radioso.

Ideale con i grandi crudi del mare, con preparazioni a base di crostacei ma anche come vino da meditazione.

Un’affinità elettiva tra il Millesimato Brut più rappresentativo dello stile Bellavista e il Teatro alla Scala, il celebre tempio della musica fondato nel 1778 nel cuore di Milano. Una sintonia naturale alimentata dalla comune creatività, dalla stessa disciplina ed emozione. Il Millesimato Teatro alla Scala è l’Opera Prima di ogni vendemmia, che, anno dopo anno, genera attesa, trepidazione fino ad accendere le luci del palcoscenico della Franciacorta e regalare grandi emozioni. Il 7 dicembre di ogni anno, giorno del Santo Patrono di Milano, Sant’Ambrogio, al Teatro alla Scala si inaugura la nuova stagione con una sfolgorante Prima d’Opera. È dal 2004, anno speciale di riapertura del Teatro dopo lunghi restauri, che Bellavista ha l’onore di far parte di questo rituale, che celebra la leggendaria storia italiana del bel canto quale emblema della più alta espressione creativa della nostra Italia.
